Stotz Racing Keeps Breaking Records!
Friday the 13th and chills were in the air. Testing at Lucus Oil Raceway for the Inaugural Friday Night Rage event had Frankie wheeling on the first pass. We took the super light 17” BST front wheel off and put on the heavier 16” BST, tweaked the HyperPro shock and qualified #1 with an AMAZING 7.04@197 mph. Mouths dropped and the fans went crazy. One of the Pro Drifting guys saw Franks 7.04 and took him for a ride-a-long in the craziest drifting action ever held in the Lucas Oil pits. We ended up running a 7.05 in the semis and won the event in the finals when our opponent red lighted.
The next morning we headed to Muncie Indiana for the season opener of the NHDRO series. Rain in the forecast kept some teams home but Saturday stayed dry. Without the Pro cars that the Rage event had, traction was more limited. Record ET’s were not likely. Our Mickey Thompson tire gave us an advantage and Bob from Rock Solid Mfr. came to the event with his amazing new clutch. With those advantages we qualified number one again with a 7.34@190. The next morning we woke up to a down poor. The race was called and we headed home eager for the season opener of the 2 Wheel Speed-Hardcore series.
